Topic 2: Balance in life

In this workshop we will look into the “Wheel of Life” as a tool to get a snapshot of how satisfied we are in eight different areas in our lives.

Topic 3: Emotional Intelligence

In this workshop we will identify how can we assess and control our emotions, and the emotions of others. We will look into the significance of Emotional Intelligence and how we can use it to better our social skills.

Topic 5: Assertiveness and Self Confidence

Strong communication skills are essential for assertive interaction with people around us. We will look at different skills which will benefit our daily life. We will discuss different types of interaction with people.

This 4-week workshop is ideal for artisans, crafters, emerging artists and anyone who wants to learn self-promotional skills to become successful in today’s competitive marketplace.

Week 1: Learn how to craft a powerful statement for exhibits, galleries, promotional materials and website. Press releases: announce and promote your art/event/product and make it “newsworthy.” Marketing essentials: design an effective business card and turn it into your best marketing tool.

Week 2: Blogs and Websites: promote your art/product/event professionally online. E-mail Etiquette: promote yourself politely and efficiently online.

Week 3: The Online Portfolio: showcase, promote and sell your art/product/event professionally online. What type of portfolio is right for you and your work? Choose a photo hosting site (free and paid options). How can you protect your intellectual property?

Week 4: Social Media: How to build and maintain your social online authority and make social media networks on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and YouTube. Learn how to create a blog. Learn how to become an expert in your niche and share it with others.
